Beta notice: Tandemly is in limited beta. This policy describes the current platform; we may update it as features and practices evolve.

1. About Tandemly and the data controller

Tandemly is the public-facing name of an online marketplace currently operated by an individual in the Philippines, not a separately incorporated company. The individual responsible for the platform and its handling of personal information is Ann Janeth Hulip. Privacy inquiries and requests can be sent to tandemly.support@gmail.com. We may provide additional identity or contact details where required by applicable law.

2. Information we collect

When you use Tandemly, we process account email addresses, account roles, display names, and authentication-related information. Depending on how you use the service, we may also process company names, professional headlines, biographies, skills, countries, hourly rates, profile photographs, work experience, resumes, job postings and budgets, cover letters, applications and their statuses, in-app notifications and read timestamps, private messages, uploaded attachments, and related timestamps. Our service providers may process technical information necessary to host, deliver, and secure Tandemly.

Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are not displayed in public profiles. Please avoid uploading unnecessary sensitive personal information to profiles, resumes, messages, or attachments.

3. Why we use your information

We use this information to create and authenticate accounts, maintain profiles and the VA directory, publish job listings, facilitate applications and client review, support messaging and resume access, provide support, maintain security, and address abuse or legal obligations.

Where applicable, our legal bases include providing the service you request, legitimate interests in security and service operation, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where required.

4. Who can see information

Completed VA profiles included in the public directory may be viewed by anyone, including visitors who are not signed in. Public directory information can include display name, headline, biography, skills, hourly rate, country, public profile photograph, and work experience. Information made public may be copied or indexed by others.

Job listings may be shown to visitors or signed-in users depending on the feature. Application information and cover letters are intended for the applicant and the client who posted the job. Resumes are intended to be accessible to approved clients through the application and profile features. Private messages and their attachments are intended for the conversation participants. Please do not include sensitive personal information in public-facing fields.

5. Service providers and international processing

We use Supabase for account authentication and database services and Cloudflare for website hosting and delivery. This private preview also uses OpenAI/ChatGPT sign-in to restrict access to the website; this is separate from your Tandemly email account. Information may be processed in countries other than your own. We will assess applicable international-transfer requirements and safeguards as the beta develops.

When PayPal checkout is enabled, PayPal processes your payment on its hosted page under its own privacy terms. We send payment amount, currency, an internal checkout reference and subscription schedule. We retain provider order, subscription and transaction references, payment status, timestamps, paid access periods and terms consent to administer billing and investigate refunds. These records are visible to the account holder and authorized owner reviewers. Card numbers and PayPal passwords are not collected by Tandemly.

6. How long we keep information

We generally retain account, profile, resume, job, application, message, and attachment information while needed to provide Tandemly and for legitimate security or legal purposes. We have not yet established fixed retention periods for every category. You may contact us to request deletion or information about retention; we will review requests in light of applicable law, security needs, and technical limitations. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.

7. Security

We use authentication and database access controls designed to limit access to personal information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please protect your credentials and report suspected misuse to our support email.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain information about your data, or object to certain processing. Email tandemly.support@gmail.com with your request. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

9. Age requirement

Tandemly is intended for users aged 18 or older.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as our platform changes. We will provide notice of material changes where required. For questions, contact tandemly.support@gmail.com.

Payment review, business checks and safety reports

When collection opens, we record transfer method, reference, amount, consent to fee terms, review decisions and refund references. Do not submit banking credentials, PINs or OTPs. We collect business names, professional or business links and hiring-role details for client review. The owner reviews these records; payment details are not shown to other marketplace users.

Reports retain the reported job or relevant conversation text and review notes for investigation. Blocking prevents new messages between the accounts. Approved clients can access eligible private resumes. The owner can review reported conversation content, but the owner review interface does not provide general access to all private conversations. Contact support about retention and deletion of review records.
