Terms of Service
Last updated: November 5, 2026 · Beta draft
Limited beta: Tandemly is an early-stage marketplace. Features may change and availability is not guaranteed.
1. About Tandemly and eligibility
Tandemly is the public-facing name of an online marketplace currently operated by an individual in the Philippines, not a separately incorporated company. The individual responsible for the platform is Ann Janeth Hulip. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter agreements to use Tandemly.
2. Accounts and profiles
Clients may register, post jobs, browse eligible VA profiles and resumes, review applications, and exchange messages. Virtual Assistants may register, complete profiles, add work experience, upload profile photos and resumes, browse jobs, apply, and exchange messages. Clients must complete email and business review before hiring access is approved, and jobs are reviewed before publication. Some features require a completed profile or an appropriate account role. You agree to provide accurate information, protect your account credentials, and notify us of suspected unauthorized access.
3. Job listings, profiles, and applications
Clients are responsible for ensuring their job listings are truthful, lawful, and accurately describe the opportunity, work, and any proposed compensation. Virtual Assistants are responsible for the accuracy of their profiles, resumes, work experience, and applications. Users should independently verify the identity and suitability of people they interact with. Tandemly does not guarantee that any job is genuine, that a candidate is suitable, or that an interview, hire, or payment will occur.
4. Independent arrangements
Tandemly provides tools for discovery, applications, and communication. Unless separately agreed in writing, Tandemly is not an employer, staffing agency, or party to agreements between clients and Virtual Assistants. Users are responsible for independently agreeing on work scope, compensation, timing, legal compliance, and contract terms. An “accepted” application status does not itself establish an employment contract or guarantee payment.
5. Beta fees
Registration and currently available beta features are free. Tandemly does not currently collect subscriptions, hiring commissions, or payments through the website. The planned paid features are described in the VA payment and refund terms and client subscription terms. Payment collection remains closed. If fees are introduced later, we will disclose the price, currency, payment terms, and any applicable refund terms before charging users or requiring acceptance of new payment obligations. No payment is due simply because you register during the current free beta.
6. Acceptable use and recruitment safety
Do not post fake or misleading jobs, impersonate people or businesses, solicit inappropriate upfront recruitment payments, demand sensitive credentials or financial information without a legitimate lawful reason, harass or discriminate unlawfully, distribute spam or malware, scrape or misuse personal data, or attempt to bypass platform security. Use the report and block controls in jobs and conversations, or contact support. We may apply job and messaging limits, review reports, and pause accounts during investigation. Users should independently evaluate offers and avoid sending money or sensitive documents to unverified parties.
7. User content, visibility, and privacy
You retain ownership of content you submit and confirm that you have the right to submit it. You give Tandemly permission to host, process, and display content as reasonably needed to operate the features you use. Completed VA directory profiles, including public profile photographs and work experience, may be visible to anyone, including visitors who are not signed in. Resumes are intended for approved client access. Private messages and attachments are intended for conversation participants; reported message content may also be reviewed by the owner for safety investigations. Do not upload content you are not authorized to share. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled.
8. Disputes and hiring decisions
Clients and Virtual Assistants make their own hiring and work decisions and should independently assess opportunities and counterparties. Tandemly may review reports of fraud, abuse, or other misuse, but cannot guarantee the accuracy of user-submitted information or the resolution of disputes between users.
9. Suspension and account closure
We may restrict or suspend accounts where reasonably necessary to address suspected fraud, abuse, security risks, or legal requirements. You may request account closure by emailing tandemly.support@gmail.com. Requests will be reviewed subject to applicable legal obligations, security considerations, and operational requirements. See our Privacy Policy for information about data deletion requests.
10. Service availability and liability
Tandemly is currently provided as an early-stage beta on an as-available basis and may experience changes, errors, or interruptions. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Tandemly is not responsible for independent agreements or disputes between users. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Changes and applicable law
We may update these terms as Tandemly develops, providing notice or requesting renewed acceptance where required. The platform is operated from the Philippines. Applicable mandatory laws and user protections continue to apply. Any additional commercial or dispute-resolution terms will be disclosed before they take effect.
12. Contact
For questions, account closure requests, or reports of suspicious activity, contact tandemly.support@gmail.com.
